Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance ZenPack

Background
This ZenPack is for Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), and provides CPU utilization, free memory available, active VPN tunnels, RAS sessions, and IKE dropped packets. It also includes all the necessary MIB configurations to handle incoming SNMP trap events from these appliances.
Installation
Normal Installation (packaged egg)
- Download the appropriate egg file for the version of Zenoss you are running.
- Ensure you are logged in as the zenoss user:
$ sudo su - zenoss
- Install the ZenPack:
$ zenpack --install ZenPacks.Firestar.CiscoASA-*.egg
- Restart these services:
$ zenoss restart
Developer Mode Installation
In order to do a development mode installation you will want to clone the existing git repository, and then use the --link flag with the zenpack command:
- Ensure you are logged in as the zenoss user:
$ sudo su - zenoss
- Start by cloning the upstream repository:
$ git clone git://github.com/zenoss/ZenPacks.Firestar.CiscoASA.git
- Next, perform the installation:
$ zenpack --link --install ZenPacks.Firestar.CiscoASA
- Finally, restart these serivices:
$ zenoss restart
