Slack Notifications ZenPack
A ZenPack to add a notification option for Slack channels.
Users can select Slack as option for a notification option and providing a webhook URL.
Warning

Background
To use this ZenPack, create a notification using the "Slack" action and input a Slack webhook URL in the content tab.
Installation
Normal Installation (packaged egg)
- Download the appropriate egg file for the version of Zenoss you are running.
- Ensure you are logged in as the zenoss user:
$ sudo su - zenoss
- Install the ZenPack:
$ zenpack --install ZenPacks.community.Slack-*.egg
- Restart these services:
$ zenactiond restart
Developer Mode Installation
In order to do a development mode installation you will want to clone the existing git repository, and then use the --link flag with the zenpack command:
- Ensure you are logged in as the zenoss user:
$ sudo su - zenoss
- Start by cloning the upstream repository:
$ git clone https://github.com/ssplatt/slack-zenoss.git
- Next, perform the installation:
$ zenpack --link --install ZenPacks.community.Slack
- Finally, restart these serivices:
$ zenactiond restart
