Configuration properties, also called zProperties, define various settings for a device. They are inherited from a device's Device Class hierarchy, and are essentially a bunch of configuration settings, each with a name and a value. In addition to being inherited from a Device Class, they can also be set on a per-device basis. They are commonly used to store authentication settings for modeling (discovery) and monitoring.

To set a Configuration property for a specific device
...Go to Infrastructure Tab, click on the Device Name, and select Configuration Properties on the left-hand pane.
To set a Configuration property for a device class (inherited by all child devices and Device Classes)
...Go to Infrastructure Tab, select the Device Class in the left pane and click the Details arrow. Then select Configuration Properties on the left-hand pane.
