Background
See the README.rst for details. Don't forget to restart zenactiond after installing the ZenPack. If you already have a FancyEmail notification and you modify / reinstall the ZenPack, the existing notification will not have the benefit of any changes so always remember to create a new notification to test.
The ZenPack introduces non-standard event fields which need to be set in the transform of the top-level eventClass. Code is included in root_transform.txt.
Installation
Normal Installation (packaged egg)
- Download the appropriate egg file for the version of Zenoss you are running.
- Ensure you are logged in as the zenoss user:
$ sudo su - zenoss
- Install the ZenPack:
$ zenpack --install ZenPacks.skills1st.FancyEmail-*.egg
- Restart these services:
$ zenhub restart; zopectl restart; zencationd restart
Developer Mode Installation
In order to do a development mode installation you will want to clone the existing git repository, and then use the --link flag with the zenpack command:
- Ensure you are logged in as the zenoss user:
$ sudo su - zenoss
- Start by cloning the upstream repository:
$ git clone https://github.com/jcurry/ZenPacks.skills1st.FancyEmail.git
- Next, perform the installation:
$ zenpack --link --install ZenPacks.skills1st.FancyEmail
- Finally, restart these serivices:
$ zenhub restart; zopectl restart; zencationd restart
